![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Found this article...might help? I'm sure you've probably heard about what people are referring to as the dreaded "Google Sandbox". SE Roundtable has a good definition of the Google Sandbox, in which they state that there's some "some form of issue with Google and new sites." They go on to say that "A site is sandboxed when it is new and does not rank for keyword phrases that are not incredibly competitive (such as a unique company name) in Google after making the page "search engine friendly" and after being indexed." Essentially, it's an aging delay for new sites. You're obviously wondering, "I have a new site. How do I get it out of the Sandbox?" Well, rest assured, here's how to do it. After a lot of research, a lot of testing, and a lot of good luck, I can now reveal the secret. If you have a new content destined for a new domain (i.e., you're putting up a new site), then take one of your old domains--add a new subdomain to that old domain, add the content, and let the new content get indexed (it should take a few days). Then, after it's indexed, move the content to the new domain. When you move the content, set up a 301 Permanent Redirect from the subdomain on the old domain to the new domain. Here's another explanation of the required process: 1. Create content (let's call it content1) 2. Buy new domain (let's call it content1.com) 3. Set up content1.old-domain.com 4. Move content to content1.old-domain.com and let it get indexed. 5. Move content to content1.com domain. 6. Set up 301 Permanent Redirect from content1.old-domain.com to content1.com By following this procedure, you'll get your new domain out of the dreaded Google Sandbox. |
