what am I doing wrong?

Hi guys.
question when I search my site http://www.sdro.com on google.com I get over 11,000 results that have been indexed on google.com but when I search link:http://www.sdro.com
I get only 137 links why such a great diference in links to the same site. Am I doing something wrong to not getting the links indexed???

if you query: site:www.yoursite.com you would get the number of pages that google has indexed from your site.

if you query: link:www.yoursite.com you would get the number of in bound links google has listed for your domain.

I realize that but why does google not pick up all the inbound links on the page.
The diference is over 11,000 to 137 links and they all have the same inbound link listed, according to me, at the bottonof each page, to the same sight http://www.sdro.com.

Google never display all of your backlinks when you use the link: operator. It's just the way it is. Plus they will list mentions of your site name as soon as they find them, But they only export backlink data four times a year.

Google backlinks is quite strange, sometimes they show backlink from your own domain. For google I ussualy do not use "link" operator, you might have better result with this query :
www.sdro.com -site:www.sdro.com

Try querying "link:www.yourdomain.com" on msn.com instead of google.com.

You are not doing anything wrong, that's the problem of google. Very funny thing is if you search the following 2 things: Link:www.yourdomain.com and Link: www.yourdomain.com (there is a space between : and w), you will get the same result.

To check your backlinks, use yahoo and msn.

How long do I have to wait until Google listed my backlinks in their search result? I have a website that just up for 3 weeks now but not a single backlink yet in Google.
