| Junior Member | Is it true that its not good to use tables, and you should be using css stylesheet more? Heard that from sitepoint.com they said too many tables may confuse the robot. |

| Regular Member | Yes it is true. You should not use tables for layout, tables should basically be used for presenting data in a tabular form. Though learning CSS will take some of your time, but once you become a master in it, you can do great things using just css, check out CSS Zen Garden for some inpirational work done using css Also, a lot of tags in HTML now are deprecated and W3C sugests using CSS in place of those. HTMLGuy has just posted a basic CSS Tutorial, you can check that out. ![]()

![]() | You should be using css, because css does easier to maintain the site. In addition css does not alter the semantics of the tables. http://www.innosoftcr.com |

![]() | Iam relative new to css but i already see its definately worth to learn.Quicker loading pages, greater flexibility, easier to apply a new change and you can completely separate the content from the layout and the overall design. And dont forget that css is search engine friendly with more clear pages and less cluttered code . |

![]() | Tables used to be very popular to build pages layout, now CSS is used instead. You can even use CSS to describe forms (like email forms), but tables are still used a lot for input forms. Flash menus are also not correctly indexed by search engines, hence you should avoid them. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, i also suggest You, to use css. It will improve the "visible text/html code" ratio. I think it is not the most, but an important seo factor.
