![]() | Let's say I want to optimize my site to 2-4 keywords max.. Shall I place all the keywords used in my market in the META TAGS, or shall I use as few as possible in the META's ? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I believe that they still count, but not as much as other factors. I think that the best way to use keywords it to try to determine which ones are relevant to the page that you are using the meta keywords on, and then put them into your header using the meta tag. Same thing goes for the description, use this to describe your page specifically, not generically. |

![]() ![]() | Google ignores the keyword metatag. And only uses the description tag as the text snippet in serps sometimes.

![]() | Keywords are still useful for some search engines but since Google, Yahoo and MSN are the only ones that really matter, you are wasting your time worrying about meta tags. Spotless

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've heard that Google pays no mind to keyword meta tags, but I've heard that they do pay attention to them based on the relevance to your sites content and how natural or organic they are. If there is written documentation stating that the major SE's ignore keywords, could you please leave a link so I could see it too? |
