I've got three sites that I've built. The main directory/blog is at http://www.themarlboroman.com. And the other two are on subdomains at http://addurldirectory.themarlboroman.com and http://articlesite.themarlboroman.com . I used sub domains so I could use seperate scripts that I felt were better suited to each individual site concept. Do you think the subdomains will penalize me in the search engines in any way? And I could use some ideas on how to monetize the sites. I've just started building links and promoting the sites so the pr is still low, but I'm hoping I can get them up to at least pr 5's with enough time and energy. So let me know what you think of them.

Your websites look fine. The links directory is a bit too texty, most people aren't going to read all of that, but some may. You don't have to worry about being panalized by the SE's because of subdomains, but some directories won't allow them. I have a subdomain site that gets plenty of traffic from the SE's, and it's a PR(4) to boot.
