Hi,

I know this sounds dumb but I am exceedingly alarmed that Iwebtool had me listed for 397 backlinks and a projected page rank of 4.4. All week long my backlinks have kept getting less and less in number and are down to 232 with a projected page rank of 3.1. I am currently at 3.0 and worked my tail feathers off to get there! Business is picking up nicely but I am alarmed at this trend.....all week it has steadily declined. Why??!!
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Which tool are you using to check your backlinks?

I am using the iwebtool page rank predictor and according to the last weeks changes I am going from a projected page rank of 4.4 to a 3.2. I was at 397 links to about 250 now! I worked very hard to get the backlinks elevated!! How can my links just start falling off?
The phone had been ringing alot more in the past two months I have dedicated myself to seo and I don't want to lose ground. Do you know why this would be?

Hi Hunter,

Backlinks are websites that simply have an active link to any page on your website. I prefer they land on the home page of my website. The way I found quality links for myself is by checking my competitors links at linkpopularity.com and then carefully following each of them to the original website. If therre was the opportunity to have a link added at no charge I did so. I spent hours doing this over a two month period but it paid off.
