 |  Yahoo - check, MSN - check, Google...? Type String Quartet in Scotland into Yahoo - my website is Number 1.  Type String Quartet in Scotland into MSN - my website is Number 3.  Type it into Google... nothing.  I searched through the listings til about the 40th page of results and nothing. Why why why?  I've submitted sitemaps to google, submitted the site for crawling, optimised my title-tags and nothing. Fair enough googlebot hasn't visited since 19th August and it was last cached on 2nd September, but SURELY that would mean I'd register somewhere...? I know we don't have a huge number of back-links but that can't be the only key to getting up the google rankings... can it!?! Any ideas? |

|  Re: Yahoo - check, MSN - check, Google...? Google pays alot more attention to off-page optimization such as back links. Have you checked whether you're in the index? If you are you need to to get more back links with the anchor text "string quartet"
