![]() | This may be a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway... Ran the pagerank prediction tool on my webmaster site this morning because I noticed a lot more traffic and adsense impressions than usual. I first ran a link popularity tool and the results were the same as last week. On running the prediction tool I got a predicted PR of 3 (3.1). My site is still PR0 since its still new but everyday Google indexes more of my pages. How did the prediction tool come to a PR3 now? I don't see any other changes that could have caused it. The PR on all the Google datacenters is still 0. I'm trying to explain this to my g/f who thinks I spend more time on my sites than with her....help me out guys. From what I explained so far she thinks the PR prediction tool is like the magic 8-ball.

![]() | No tool can predict PR without having the exact algorithm. Google maintains PR live but only exports them to the toolbar around once every 3 months. This is why you are seeing 0.

![]() | The iwebtool's PR prediction seems to be accurate. It measures the number of incoming links along with the accuracy of content and link hosting sites. We have been using iwebtool from long time and find the results very much familiar. Cheers! Rohit - Webmaster http://www.wintechmedia.com |

![]() | I'd say the tool is about 75% accurate. It may take a few PR updates for your PR to be the same as the prediction results.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It looks to me like the PR Prediction tool on this site counts how many backlinks you got and goes off that. Ask kenny how it works he more then likly wrote the p.r.p. scipt for this site.

![]() | PR prediction is based on your current backlinks, but it's not gurantee. You still have a lot work to do before the next pr update. |
