Question Why Aren'y My Back Links Recognized?!
Hi, I've been working on link building for the past 2 weeks now and have gotten my link on about a dozen sites.

When I check on IWebTool's backlink checker & googles too, it only shows 4 and those 4 are from forums?

Whats going on?

Hi there,

Don't worry so much, as Jumpen said Google takes time to notice these things. If you really want to appear in search engines quicker purchase quality backlinks that Google crawls all the time, and your site may get recognition quicker.

Apart from that, nurture your website and let it grow at it's own pace.

Months?! I can't wait that long...Do you know any of these quality backlinks? How bout you guys? Interested in exchanging links?

Is there a rough amount of links that would bump you up a page rank? Or this is impossible to know...

No, there is no rough amount of back links that is known to bump you up a PR rating. Just because you cant see the backlinks, that doesnt mean that Google doesnt give you credit for it.

A quality backlink is a link on a site that is pertanent to the content on your site. A site that has a large amount of traffic and a decent PR is helpful. Find sites similar to yours and request a backlink from them.

Use the iwebtool, it will search like this link:www.yourdomain.com, and for most of the case, this will get very few results. But if you search link: www.yourdomain.com (space between : and w), you will get more results. For backlinks, better trust yahoo and msn.

My rateanddateonline.com site has several hundred backlinks on yahoo and msn.
Google is showing none after 6 months. Google hasnt even added the yahoo directory link!

Ya I have over 1000 links to my site and only about 35 are showing up so far and google isn't showing any.
