I've been checking future page ranks and it seems Google is doing a page rank update. Please advise.

I think that the update began around the end of September or the beginning of October.

A few hours ago we went from PR4 to PR5... Yes... They're updating.

yes, they're updating. Since the end of september my site is playing yoyo between PR4 and PR5 Still don't know what the final result will be....Sometimes I'm PR5 for a couple of hours and then back to PR4.
The number of backlinks is also changing every day...

I think Google went backwards at many datacenteres for a while and now are about 75% of the way through finished. Bit strange as updates before where always done quickly and this is dragging on. Perhaps there was data loss or server failures along the line? Seems an update calculation with old data. Whatever the reason it's been very messy, but getting there now. Lets's hope they start to do a new one soon as the current one is over 2 months out of date.

What makes a good quality back link?


I recently added 60 days ago, 175 indexed domains 3 years old, with a key word text pointing to my domain. Current page rank on that domain http://www.sdro.com is a 6.

Page rank on backlinks ranges from 3 to 5.

But I can't seam to increase the link:http://www.sdro.com
more than 176.

Yahoo.com count 11,000

Whats wrong?

Google doesn't show all of your backlinks. I don't know why, but they do know about all of your backlinks, they just don't let you know that they know.

I have been doing some research lately and i have found a very interesting thing let me share with u all. Of course of you know the google.com/webmasters where there are tools on how to increase your pagerank. On the webmaster tools there is a section called Crawl stats where u can see the level of your pagerank and the process where pagerank is assigned
Let me demonstrate this with a shot i have taken.
I hope my information would be very helpful for a lot of u out there...
