![]() | Hey everyone, sorry I've been away awhile but I've been working on my new site from host monster. The URL is as follows: http://spiritshome.com (I actually have a .com , it's great!) I would greatly apreciate it if you could tell me what you think. All but like three pages are up and most of my content is transfered from the old site. Also if anyone is interested I also have a link exchange on my site though some of the content on my site may seem a little outlandish to some of the more 'normal' people of this universe. Peace love and chicken grease to all. |

![]() | I have also opened up another site, well, it's more a blog and a forum than anything. It's http://malfaf.blogspot.com I opened it up becuase I'm looking for my lost siblings and I've been to a lot of sites for people with the same problem and I thought it would be a good idea. M.A.L.F.A.F. stands for missing and lost, family and friends. |

![]() | I think you should use a size 10 font instead of just size 8. It makes it hard to read. I like the simple layout but what is it with all the white in the bottom?

![]() | I'm still fixing up the length of each page. At first I had it all so they were the same but that didn't work so wall so... It's a work in progress. Thanks for the tip off on the font. It apears differently on different peoples browsers, like it's tiny tiny on my bf's but on mine it large. I'm trying to find a good medium. Thank you. Also in about 5 min I'm going to have games on my site, please review load speed, thanks. Last edited 10-24-2006 at 08:10 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The games loaded quick for me. There was one problem however, the links within the zelda game that read "Load Game" and "Start Game" didn't line up, they went active when the mouse wasn't over them, and deactive when the mouse was over them. The site looks really nice, kudos and good luck with it. |

![]() | glad it loads ok i was worried about that, i'm updating my links and filling in blank spaces as of this morning, it might take me a couple of days though. I figures the butterfly was cool, it added color, would it help if I slowed the speed down on the flapping? |

![]() | Yeah, I've been working on that. Have to put in some meta tags and such, that'll help too. I'm gald it's nice and simple. My first version of this site was a mess, the artsy fartsy temperment got the best of me. Now I'm trying for a casual look, mostly black and white with hints of color here and there. Thanks for your advice. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Right I am going to give you a good review as I think your website needs one for improvement (don't take this personally). I can understand that you may be a newcomer to web design/development, so I will start off with some of the basics. I have been known in the past to give some great website reviews so hopefully this one will be just as informative as ones I have written in the past. One of my pet hates are Bravenet tools. They are very ugly, full of adverts, and is a sneaky way of generating traffic for their website. If you want web tools, search further than Bravenet, there are plenty of great tools out there which have no ads, are great to use, and sometimes if your lucky have absolutely no branding. Now I have that out of my system I can't start giving you pointers which you should be able to change for the better. Although don't take the above as trying to humiliate you, I used to use Bravenet - that was until I discovered more on the web. For scripts and tools I would recommend HotScripts. The colouration I think personally is too plain, and sometime this can be good, although in your case I think it makes your website look boring. And unfortunately that can be enough for someone to leave your website, and this means hidden potentially can be wasted. I know it's horrible to think but I can guarantee about 80% (at least) of web browsers will judge a website by it's cover. So for this concentrate on adding other colours to the scene. If I was also to be picky about you front page I would suggest you sorted out your alignment on your text format, and don't just make headings/sub-headings bold, make them a different size and font. People will not read you full page on their first visit (or not usually anyway), they will look for things that interest them, and if they don't find it quickly....they leave, including myself - and most browsers are the same. Another thing is your menu on the side. Side menus are OK, as long as there isn't too many options, you should start looking for a transitional menu (HotScripts can help you there too ).Don't add too many features - depict out what you need and what you don't need, being simple can be one of the best tactics to gaining repeat visitors (look at Google). I would love to go further in detail for you, but unfortunately a lot of your pages are 'under construction'. Although you should be able to integrate this feedback into your other pages. I do hope that you take on board some of my feedback, and I trust that you don't take it personally. Finally good luck with your website and I hope it goes to plan. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() | To be honest I don’t like this green in web pages, I believe that more “matrix green” would be just fine. You have done a good job, but in your html code you have many errors. For example in line 88 discarding unexpected </form>, line 90 discarding unexpected </td> and more. Again a great job and idea. |

![]() | As someone who might be new to webdesign/development i think its a good effort, but a lot of work can be put into the look and feel and flow of the pages. I like the basic layout of the navigation, its easy to use, but the banner and colour scheme requires a little tweaking to make it look more professional. In terms of usability i really like it so its only the cosmetic stuff that needs work. One example is the search box, at the very minimum you should stick in your banner and navigation onto the search results page. It will make the search results look more like they are part of your site rather than some random page. Good luck and I think you have done a superb job so far Keep it up.
