Site speed help!!

I am desperately looking for someone that can help us figure out why our site is loading slow and inconsistently. We are about to launch on Oct 15th after a 3-year project and have been plagued with poor site speed for months. We are franticly looking for the source of the problem. We have made vast improvements but we are still much slower than similar sites and very inconsistent. We even put the site at two separate hosts with two separate domains, NiceSale.com and NiceSale.net. If anyone knows how to help us it would be greatly appreciated. It will pay off tremendously for you because our concept and business model has never been done and is very useful and lucrative. I would be glad to train those that help us on the use and benefits of the site.

It came up pretty fast for me. But for generality, I think that if you wanted a superspeedy site, you shouldn't use images but that is kind of worthless.

You're loads pretty fast from over here. What seems to be the problem? the images load or the whole entire website?
