faking alexa?

Has anyone had any attempts to fake alexa ranking? Perhaps open up multiple browsers with alexa toolbar on them? if anyone did have a go, share your experience here.

I know some ranking # are fakes, but alexa ranking shows nothing so there's not much to worry about. But I don't know how they do it

There is software out there that can influence Alexa rank. Gametax is rapidly decreasing as we speak !

If anyone is really interested PM me, but the alexa rank is an ego thing i think !

Hi there,

All you really need is a proxy and a browser with an Alexa toolbar to imitate the unique visits, and the job a good one. I don't bother with Alexa however, it is really pointless unless you have a real high ranking.

Yeas..you just needd to get fake clicks to your site..and alexa rank will go dow...Alexa rank is usally using (not really anymore, cause its now just fake thing)..it looks nice when you have a low alexa rank when you sell a link space to somebody else..its like your site would have visitors..

I have never faked alexa, but many people now don't believe alexa, so they prefer to see other statistics

The less people use Alexa, the more high fake results you get.
You have to browse ONLY your pages with the Alexa toolbar on, otherwise you make other (popular) pages rise in the charts (Yahoo is number 1).
If you surf 30/40 pages of your site, you rise up to top 100,000 pages. But you have to do it every day.

Quite a lot of people fake alexa, they will keep going on there pages to make the rankings go higher but they will have to constantly do that

some link exchange programs show both PageRank and Alexa, that's why they fake it. Or they just have the Alexa Toolbar installed....
