Post viewing web browser

Hi, im wondering if anyone can help me with, which size is best to use when creating a html page. It use to 800x600 but ive heard its now best to set it at 1024x764?? This is because the majority of people have larger screens.

How do, i create this so its universal and so the index for example fits the window and stays at the same size.

Many thanks

According to my visitors statistic i suggest 1024X768, but if You would use % in the css file, the resolution won't be so important

I would try to design my web pages to suit as many people as possible. I use css and the width:a%; for the width of my body. If you use images, it becomes a bit more tricky, you would have to make your images so that if scaled, they would look good in all resolutions. Here is a link to a great site to learn CSS if you don't already know it.

http://www.w3schools.com/css/

Good luck, and if you have any other questions, please let us know.

use percentage widths and heights... with CSS only it's gonna be a bit of a problem, but when it works.. it's gonna be great

The only problem with %s is that it makes using images even harder.

The majority of the browsers use 1024X768 resolution. So fix it !
