![]() | Hello, I have a couple of feeds - poker tournaments, an Odds checker, TV schedule on PokerDIY that are feeds from other sites, and I have to put up a link to their site to use it. I am trying to think of a web service or info that I could put on PokerDIY for other poker webmasters to use - it seems as tho this is one of the easiest and best ways for backlinks and traffic (especially if the content hit a webservice on your site each time the user did something on their site - like the Oddschecker). Anyone got any experience in this or have any ideas? |

![]() | I found your site from the Colonel Mustard video on YouTube. It was great! I also loved the "Look busy!" link.. these are the sorts of things that will attract links. Perhaps diversify the "look busy" part into several different pages, or allow users to upload their own graphics and install a browser button to show their business? Oooh, how about you offer up a feed or service showing home games in the visitors geographic location - that would be a great source of content for bloggers. Short descriptions would clickthrough to your site. Or do you do that already? I run a poker blog, and have a web based hand replayer that is struggling to find it's feet. It seems people just aren't that interested - although there's plenty of search traffic coming my way. I've reached the conclusion that poker people aren't very viral, so I'm going for JVs with larger sites to try and promote it instead (plus some other experimental stuff).

![]() | Thanks Will ![]() Yes, that is a good idea - an RSS feed on Upcoming Games - this will be in the next version of the software so people can put it on their sites- it would also be cool if you could configure your feed - eg. only Freerolls/THNL etc - nice... Yes, it's really hard getting traffic - let me know if you want to dicuss a JV or anything else - always on the look out for serious poker webmasters.... |
