HouseOfRock will become famous soon enough
Default New Site, New Domain, Bad PR

About 18 months ago I registered my first domain name: www.officialhouseofrock.com to play around with some webdesign.

As of today, that domain just reached Google PR 4 (finally).

Only problem is, last May I stopped working on that site, in favor of a redesigned, all-new site: www.officialhouseofentertainment.com with some friends.

And just about 2 weeks ago I decided the domains were too long altogether, and moved my interests over to www.itsjusthumor.com which is where I plan to stay (for a while).

I guess my question is, does it make sense to abandon the old DN, which has a decent amount of inbound links and a PR of 4? I suppose it will take some time to get the new domain to the same level. But I typically don't care much about Google PR, I'd rather focus on traffic, from inbound links.

What do you guys think?

PS. Anyone with a humor related site interested in link swaps or the like, PM me please.

Is the basic theme of houseofrock the same as the basic theme for it's just humor? I'd say if you have a PR4 site, if it's similar, to hang on to it, and try to redirect as much of your traffic to the new site as you can, all the while, building new IBL's and content for the new domain.

If they aren't the same type of concept, then why abandon the other one at all, try to hang on to it and continue maintaining it.

itsjusthumor.com is basically officialhouseofrock.com 2.0. In other words, it is the new version of the old site; essentially the same content, but with a new approach and design.

And what you suggest is basically what I was planning. I am going to use officialhouseofrock to send traffic to the new site, I'm not leaving it forever. But eventually I would like to see houseofrock become a music related site (I have a few other projects I am working on before I get to that).
