![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just a little interesting fact: According to Nielsen/NetRatings July, 2005 data, Google Search represented about 46 percent of all searches, followed by Yahoo! Search at 23 percent, and MSN Search at 13 percent. July 2005 Google 46% Yahoo 23% MSN 13% Total: 82% The remaining 18% must be AOL, AskJeeves etc

![]() | Very interesting, indeed. I've always wondered and was also curious, who is the most popular; I now know where they stand. |

![]() | I was expecting a bit more from google. Still 46 is not that bad it's like half of the total searches. |

![]() | Everyone knows that Google is the biggest. Yahoo is almost better than Google, i enjoy the Yahoo homepage a lot better than Google's. |

| Regular Member | There are a lot of things on Yahoo Homepage. Google had only the search feature in its homepage which it has retained since beginning, even though they have added a lot of other features. Also, dont forget that the 2nd spot is taken by Yahoo which is 23%, that is half of what Google is. Though I expected Google to be getting 90% of all searches..lol

![]() | I think yahoo will soon overtake the search engine ranking and push google out of its way, it has real potential and so does msn , lycos seems to lagging behind real bad.

![]() | Interesting especially considering how new MSN is. With vista coming out, I could see MSN really challenging for the number two spot and taking away visitors from Google in a significant amount. |

![]() | It is hard to tell what people will do, I am not sure if Google will have any more competition. People are creatures of habit and rarely change habbits once formed. Google would have to upset a lot of people to lose these patrons. The fight is for #2 between Yahoo and MSN if you ask me. And you also have to consider the new internet users that are coming of age and the ones who are still getting online for the first time! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Quote:
Erm...Not that bad, 46% means that out of the so many billions of people browsing the web they have 46%. That is A LOT. Yahoo! wouldn't be so popular if it wasn't for the directory etc. It is used mainly by business users because of the stock exchange and news etc. Google always put their search engine first as it is what they started as, that is why they are the most popular search engine. Regards, Kieran Taylor. | |
