| Member | If i decided to buy a link on monthly basis, then how frequently my PR changes according to the links i bought. I am asking this because, If my PR increase i can exchange link, may be 3 way link, with other web masters. so that i don't have to pay to the sites i have bought already on monthly basis. I may not clearly describe my question, Hope you guys understand and given me good suggestions.

![]() | Until this update is done it will stay the same. There is no way to predict your page rank without knowing the algorithm

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PR is updated all of the time, maybe even in real time. Google doesn't like to show us our current PR because(so I've heard) if we could make changes to our sites and we could see how those changes effected our PR immediately, then that would give webmasters the ability to "fluff" their PR, because then we would know exactly what changes were the most effective. As it stands, we are all still guessing. So approximately once in 3 months, Google allows us to have a glimpse of how effective our marketing plans are. |

![]() | If you get higher PR like this way, you can't rank higher in SERPs, because some of your backlinks are temporary links. |

![]() | Why are they temporary? If I will pay for them everytime they will be constant. No? |

![]() | Even if you try to keep approximately the same amount of inbound links, their weight is a changing variable, as it depends on changing factors, i.e. the PR of the site that you have a link fron is changing. Last edited 12-08-2006 at 11:55 AM. |

| Junior Member | well I would be interested in exchanging link on a more perminant basis, on my site I have a banner rotation at the top that changes the banner everytime someone goes to a different page so the banners are always on top and always changing so you have multiple chances to hit the visitors on several pages. |

![]() | PR will change once you stop linking to a powerful website which is making your PR high, but if you keep linking to it everytime google do an update your PR will be the same unless you get more powerful backlinks with high PR which will raise your PR as well
