What do you guys think about investing in domains rather than regular financial investment. A good domain racks up its value faster than regular real estate. I've seen purchases of domains in thousands. I have myself sold some domains for good three figure amount. In my opinion, It is really great industry, you just have to be creative to turn successful. The only problem is that there are no more good names left unregistered. You have to work hard on a domain now, like developing, branding to increase its worth.

Please explain to some of us what makes a good domain name. I know thing like short domains, the .com's, one word, two word, those with lots of traffic anything else though?

I agree with sufi. investing in domain names is a better way than investing in other regular ways, the ROI in domains, can be vastly better than any stock or bonds in a regular market, and the risk is way less...
and yes, you have to be creative in the way you promote and brand your domains in order to build up some traffic and hopefully sell your domain for a nice profit...

www.DnFAQ.info might answer your questions. Your domains should be short and stuff, but also have excellent keywords. Really, domains are only worth what a buyer is willing to pay for them.
