Query on buying links

I am stranded here, i need your help.
Can anyone kindly explain me to a company from which I can buy quality backlinks within the field of hardware-IT?
I want to buy a link here: http://www.linkcountdown.com/ because I can sell it in future if I change my mind.
Also there are other companies that offer 10,000 links , some are of high PR rank others are useless and not relative to the subject, if so does it mean that one has to buy & go through several companies before collecting good 100 related links?
Do i have to buy thousands of links in all fields prior to collecting the required 100?

Check out http://www.publishyourkeyword.com. It's a brand new site that publishes a web page for each keyword that you subscribe to. You pick the keyword and the content for that keyword page. They are offering a special for the month of October for $2.99/keyword/year. Each keyword page is no more than 2 clicks away from the home page. It's a good opportunity to place relevant links to your site for a low cost.

I'm a little leery about companies that offer "hundreds" or "thousands" of one-way links with decent PR for a relatively small fee. Why would any site want to offer, say a 100 PR4 and PR5 links for $99 while they sell each one for $5-$20 a piece?

So the confusion still goes on. Keyword Pages looks like a Link Farm / Directory. I cann't find any special on them. now waiting for rateanddateonline's reply.

No, publishyourkeyword.com is not a link farm/ directory. It's simply an opportunity to create a wepage containing relevant content relating to your website. You decide the content of that page and you can place your link within that content.
