Be careful though mann3r, having too many backlinks too quickly can earn you a place in the not-so-helpful Google sandbox. Not a good place to be in really :sad: .

Do you happen to know how many would be too much? I've heard that before too, but I can't find any information on it.

I don't think it means too much, it means too many backlinks in a short amount of time, Search Engines label site like that as spam. So it is recommended to build backlinks slowly but surely.

Whatever you do, one can't avoid sandbox. You can just come out of it early. Dats it.

allalone, it's possible to avoid it.

There are live examples of sites (new domains), which has slipped to high traffic SERPs in two-three month.

I avoided the sandbox with hotactress, or at least didn't notice being sandboexed. I have a good number of high ranking SERP's. I will probably be sandboxed on linkslinky however, because it was down for the past month.

Making subdomain of an existing already established domain does help.

thank you all for helping me on this one, actually when my entry was indexed by google, it was already on the top ten but then after i have put the domain on different directory, i went through to the third page, but then google regain the index, that is the good thing. and I hope my entry will not put that into the sandbox, since i needed some fund to rebuild my home ruined by typhoon.
