can some one tell me where i can find a free or may be cheap script
thats easy to run and good looking

Hey, best bet is to check www.hotscripts.com

Like someone said above, site-sift now offers a quality directory program which you can download for free.

CNcat is also a good free one but you'll have to do a modrewrite to make the links static and SEO friendly.
