I said Google Prefers Static Pages Over Dynamic The Second Case Is an Example ... If 10 PR7 Pages gave someone that PR 10 ALmost Everyone Would Have it... BackLinks From High PR Pages Increase PageRank Significantly and Faster .. Probably a 1000 PR 7 Pages would Make PR 10 Possible .. | |

![]() ![]() | Google doesn't prefer static pages over dynamic though. Matt Cutts said so in one of his videos. What google doesn't like is excesive variables in a url. The phpbb forum is always appearing for phpbb support related searches and they run a standard phpbb forum that uses params in URLs. Google looks at the content of the page, Not how the page is created..

![]() ![]() ![]() | Let's use a real example. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/lofiv...x.php/f15.html Page Ranks 2 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showforum=15 Page Rank 0 These two pages where created at the same time(automatic process), they are linkup up in the same way, all surrounding pages have a lofi version and none lofi version created. The first page is a PR2, the second is PR0. There is no external backlinks asssisting the first page. The difference is so far as I can tell, down to the structure of the URL. I am prepared to listen if somebody has an alternative explaination.

![]() ![]() | PR is given exclusivly by links pointing to a page. So if the first URL has internal links pointing to it it will get PR. It's nothing to do with how the page is created.

So given the site has duplicated links for both hifi and not hifi versions how come the PR2 for all matching pages is not exactly the same? There are many many examples all over the site I could point out they all have the same thing in common, permentant links have higher PR, while complex links have PR0.

I don't see how that relates to the discussion of static pages vs dynamic pages. So as not to confuse anymore. Seperate topic for discussion of static pages vs dynamic pages here http://www.iwebtool.com/talk/thread3483.html
