Default Google and subdomains

Is it wise to have a subdomain with keywords?
Unfortunatly I don't have a domainname with keywords so I made a subdomain. Is this helpful for my PR in Google, I mean.. does google look at the name of the subdomain?
Domain = atp-construct.com
subdomain = casasdemadera.atp-construct.com
keywords = casasdemadera

it will have absolutely zero effect on your PR.
And it will have minimal effect on your serps. google don't see keywords in URLs as being any more important that any other keyword.

Believe it or not Google doesn’t even look at the main domain name for keywords as important.

- yes this is true, as far as the grape vine is concerned

I have had discussions about this before, it used to be thought that keywords in your title increases your serps.... but not any more. You may notice that keywords in your url may show up as bold, that has nothing to do with the search algo, in fact the boldness is added to the results after the search algo had been done.

I wouldn’t worry too much about keywords in your URL, it will probably set you back even further with changing your URL and redirects. Keep your URL, don’t bother with sub domains, unless it makes it better for the user.
