Default [Innacurate] Yahoo! Overtakes Google In Search Share

Yahoo! has finally overtaken Google in search share. Whilst not the hotly contested US arena, this lucrative international market represents a major prospect for both companies.

Hi there,

Yeah I'd like to see the source too, it was only about a week ago in which the statistics said Yahoo! was a long shot behind. Google had over 40% of the browsers using their search engine.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

Google had over 40% of the browsers, It will most likly stay like that! Google is simple, fast and in my opinion comes up with better search results. People Like Simple And Fast.

Hi Guys,

Simplicity, uncluttered sites usually the best concept to go. People love simplicity because simply there is no time to explore the rest options due to lots of reasons - just my simple opinion. :-)

Regards,

Jimmy.

what do you mean, um.... is that to do with this thread????

Are you saying Google is uncluttered and yahoo isn’t, ....maybe... please explain???
Yahoo certainly does have a lot more info on it, and Google just has a search tool bar....
But if it was just down to that why isn’t the 2nd, 3rd 4th.. Top used engine also just a tool bar.

I think these search engines appeal to different markets, some ppl like to go to there search engine and see the news on that 1st page before they have even searched.

Lol You Read this ?
Quote:
Yahoo: Shows searches at any Yahoo-owned web site including those of AltaVista, AllTheWeb and Overture.

All Yahoo (4 Domains ) Totalled up Against Google (1 Domain ) . That Matters!
Also Yahoo results seems inaccurate as its also used for other purpose like mails ...Which accounts for 52% of traffic .
Compare this with Google - 10% of traffic to mail.google.com .

Google is still the undisputed king of the web search engine traffic unless we provide here serious facts to disprove this. It is widely an assumed fact that Yahoo and MSN follow!

No doubt, Google is currently the most popular, that's what statistic provide.
I personally prefer Yahoo as user as well as webmaster. I feel Yahoo is more friendly to me and it seems to me their search results are pretty accurate.

I think Google use too much filtering which might cause loosing some important information from the sites that not follow Google's super strong criteria (I'm talking about the sites which not paying Google for their service).

That is my opinion, I could be wrong.

Have a great day,

What services are you on about the search? Google doesn't require people to pay them to appear in the search.

I agree with the views of abraham ! Definitely Yahoo and MSN should wait for a long time to cross the service of GOOGLE.
