![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Remember opinions are opinions and are only valid to the person who has made that opinion. So I went with IE because it is my favorite as it does the job in which I want it for. People always complain about it crashing although I have never had it crash on me once. If you look after your PC it will respond how you want it. Mozilla FireFox to me displays thing wrong and I don't see any difference in speed, and...it constantly need updating, it's too much hassle for me. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

Also try opening ten IE windows of webpages and use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to check your system's resources and how much are used. Now open up 10 Firefox tabs and do the same with the same webpages and no other programs open. See a difference? ![]() [quote=Kieran]it constantly need updating, it's too much hassle for me./quote] But unlike IE, the updates are actually very very sparse and automatic. Just restart it. With IE you have to do the whole Windows Update thing which really bothers me. Apparently you don't know the good side of the web ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Quote:
Don't want to sound full of myself although I must be doing something right, because I don't have any problems ever. Quote:
I saw a 3% difference in CPU usage (Mozilla using less) although it isn't that much. As for speed (without FasterFox installed) FireFox is no faster, downloads are slower and is so is bandwidth I tested it a few months back on several site and they all proved this bias wrong. I personally think people just say FireFox because they hate IE. The reason why people hear of IE crashing more than FireFox is because a lot more people use it. You get what I mean. Although I am happy with IE. However I do suggest webmasters test their site in all browsers, because compuXP is right when he says FireFox is designed for modern standards. This is a gray area because as I said earlier opinions are opinions to the person who made them. Regards, Kieran Taylor. | ||

![]() | I like Firefox for its speed in opening pages compared to IE Firefox is 20% faster. The falt with IE is lack of security it still alows attacks to happen and the fact that its by Microsoft EG: Bill Gates.. Firefox does not show Alt tags as you scroll over an item but it shows every thing else the way a browser should. I use both browsers bacause unfortunetly some websites will only operate with IE so its better to have IE as a back up Browser and have Firefox as the default Browser. Try my site with IE then with firefox and see the difference in opening for your self. Regards,ArtMark....

![]() | Thank God for IE, but the innovation and sheer drive of Firefox has shattered so many age-old records of IE.
