I don't really remember my AdSense sign up - was over 8 months ago - but if I remember correctly, you don't have to get approved?

I think you just need proper tax information and legitimate details... posting the rejection letter would help.

I think this doesn't relate to acceptance & non-acceptance. It is basically about some problem. Best way is to email them.

From what I understand of the reply, its just that they are not allowing ppl to sign up using xyz@gmail.com at the moment, further on, they have also said that if you still want to sign up, reply to them providing a non-gmail address, with which ud like to sign up?!

Or maybe I dont understand English

Yes, that is not a rejection from the program. It is a rejection from allowing you to set your e-mail address to a gmail account. It is funny that even google will not accept gmail accounts.

Anyways, provide them with a legitimate e-mail address and not one from a free service.

There are lots of reasons you could potentially get rejected, but if you have a decently designed site with a good amount of original content, it should be no problem to get in.

Yea, they shy away from free email account such as hotmail, yahoo mail, etc.

Confirming a "real" email address from an actual DOMAIN NAME is almost a way of confirming you're the owner of the site you're submitting to the adsense account. Of course once you're accepted you can place it on any sites you own.

That's not good to hear. My friend just got accepted by Google but the problem is, he doesn't have a Tax ID. Oh well, he will have to find other alternatives.

I imagine they are on a skeleton crew over the holidays, so site approval is probably backed up.

If you do not hear anything by this Friday, I would send them an e-mail inquiring about your approval status. Just be polite and should be no problem.
