html/xhmt, CSS, and a little Javascript. I'm messed with Java and some minor PHP, but it's not really the hardcore stuff that's for me.

Default Re: What programming languages do you know?

I new C, C++, PHP, Perl, Shell scripting, a little bit of java, Python, Html, Css, Xml
Lots of experiance with databases Informix, Sybase, DB2 and MySql.

The most important is to know what we can do with the particular language. The learning of the language is like a cherry on the cake. I like to explore the new languages and see what they can do for us. The whole process of learning and experimentation with new gadgets is very interesting. If something is working on a first try you will like immediately the whole language and supporting compiler. If you are struggiling with the language during the learning/testing process you will hate the whole language and associated compiler. So, my basic approach is to keep learning the language by experimenting the different codes. After that, when I am comfortable with the language and its structure, I start to design the real code. I always remind myself that first is to have a good design for the project, second is to select appropriate language that can support that project. When this is done I can start enjoy the coding and testing to the fullness. The last part takes the most of my time, but design decides of the outcome.
