How to increase page traffic with no cost? Found really hard to improve the traffic

Best thing I recommend is post your website on number of forums. Get your website known by the locals. Also, you may want to run some type of service such as a Top Sites to get your traffic increasing.

Just you need to do linkbuilding of your site and get good pr links on your site.

If your site is not indexed Google please Submit It to main search Engines .

other than that, i've been commenting on blogs and doing blogging regularly, i got abt 50-100 new backlinks every day.

submitting articles to article directories is good too.
a friend of mine got 530 backlinks from a single article alone!

You either have to spend a lot of time or a lot of money. Here are a few effective ways to build traffic for free:

1. write articles and submit them to article directories.
2. participate in forums...i see that you've already figured this out.
3. submit to free web directories
4. put your site on your email sig.
5. advertise offline
6. word-of-mouth (through friends, colleagues, associates, etc.)
7. do something outrageous and newsworthy (don't hold me liable for this)

Definitely submit your site free directories using a free service - dirt cheap and builds links... just do your homework first...

Isn't it true that by using automated link building tools/sites can get you banned? Google especially hates them. You'll end up with links from unrelated sites and the idea of link building is to link to related content and to provide good useful and relevant information for your vsitors.

I hate link building and only submit my clients sites to directories like Yahoo and DMOZ and local directories and any topic related niche directories I find.

My client's sites are well positioned in search engines because of the above AND because they've been SEO'd and all have good content.
