![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I found 3 really great names last night, but my wife was sleeping, so I figured I'd wait til she woke up to talk to her about buying them before I actually bought them. The names were: bla.de gra.de spa.de It would have cost 45 bucks to register these. So I get home from work tonight, after talking to my wife, I went to buy these domains, and sure enough, they were taken. How's that happen? I think godaddy liked the names, but I don't know. Has this happened to anyone else. I mean, what's the chances that I will find 3 names unregistered, and less than 15 hours later, they're taken? Last edited 08-19-2006 at 02:12 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Go Daddy are known for taking sites which take up a lot of interest in their whois'. They do this to make more money, it is a good but slimy tac tic! It is becoming too obvious now and Go Daddy are getting a bad reputation, I suggest you use 123-Reg. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There have been stories regarding GoDaddy stealing domain names. Apparently, if you take your domain through the checkout but not pay, you'll find your domain taken in a few hours.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, here's what I just found out. All 3 of those domains have been registered for years. Godaddy is untrustworthy as far as knowing what domains are available. Also, godaddy lists all unregistered domains for other users to see. So if you find a good domain, then someone else can see it, and register it if they want. |
