Arrow Problem with Brand-Free Tools? Read this first.

Common errors arise with the brand-free tools feature in users' Access accounts.

Please try the following. If none of them work, feel free to post a thread about it here:
  • Clear your browser cache and restart your browser (just to make sure)
  • Disable any Norton Internet Security products, or reduce their security settings, because it can block referral data sometimes, which means it can't remove the "Powered by" link for you. So, it might be working, but it would still show up for users with this product.

If you have Norton Internet Security installed and running, try this:

Under Privacy Control in the advanced section, there is a option called 'Information About Visited Sites'. The options available are [Block, Permit Same Site, Permit]. The default setting is Permit Same Site.

In order for this to work correctly, you need to change the setting from 'Permit Same Site' to 'Permit'. Or you can just disable Privacy Control.
    [thanks, softstor for this]
  • Make sure in your Access account you typed the URL of the exact webpage it's being used on, no spelling typos or anything.
  • Double-check and add a trailing slash ("/") if needed. If it's not there already, try adding it. If it is, try removing it.
  • Make sure it starts with "http://" (and "www." after that, if applicable)
If none of these have solved your problem, post in the forums for advice.
