I have installed a rather great plugin onto this board. The plugin enables our members to input their Google Adsense details and earn themselves some clicks/impressions from guests browsing the forums.

I am not 100% sure this system is working properly. So, if you guys can test it out by filling in your Google Adsense details (try to include a channel) and reporting back to me, that'd be great .

Well, I love the idea....however....I think that you should not give the latest post the priority though. This may cause over posting, and would not be good, because we want quality posts here, not posts that are intended to enable google ads. I for one will participate in this program, and just hope that others don't post primarily to gain adsence exposure. That's just my thoughts.

I think it is a great idea, although I agree with jumpenjuhosaphat, people will probably over post just to get more clicks, although I think the only way to prevent this is to make it a strong rule in the terms & conditions and report them as soon as possible.

What a great idea, this could make everyone a few extra £'s ($'s etc.). Once I get my websites up and running I will definitely participate.

I've just changed the plugin code. It now only displays adsense from the thread starter. So, if you create attractive threads, you should be getting impressions/clicks .

I think you should also include the participants on the thread, participants are there to criticize what has been posted. Say 50% to the thread starter and 25% to the participants. In this way we are not only attracting other but to be more active in the forum.

Do you think this may prevent people from, joining? Adds are always off putting for new users, but I don’t know if this will significantly affect new users. Let me know if it affects your stats, it maybe a plug-in that I would be interested in.

This should encourage people to join the forums as it means that you won't have to see adverts when you visit the forum in future.

As for the AdSense Revenue Sharing, has anyone noticed an increase in their revenue through this scheme?

I agree, most of us are here for a reason-- to find a way to make our online businesses (or hobbies) more successful so I think new members understand why they should join despite the ads. I joined because I want to learn more and be willing to see a few more ads that might just interest me anyway.

I've added an Adsense banner after the last post. The credit for the impressions/clicks goes to the last poster (only if they have 50+ posts and have adsense details set).
