yellow info box popup thingy

What is that little info box called that pops up when you mouse over an image. It usually describes the image or what it links to. Also, how do you go about implementing it?

I think you're talking about the alternate text. It happens to work different on internet explorer and firefox.

In firefox, you need to put the image into a link and put a title=" into the link. However on most other browsers, including Search engines, the following code should work (take note of the ALT).

Code:

<img src="your-image.gif" alt="title of the image" height="10" width="10">

Thanks kenni, I just found out it is called a tooltip. So I have to use title="" for FF, but does title also work with other browsers, or do I need an alt="" attribute for other browsers?

Use the title attribute for <a> tags and alt attribute for <img> tags.
