Default Ip Global Positioning

http://www.ipgp.net/

It is a quick website, not much work for the design, working a lot at database.
If you can, please tell me what features i should add to the website for the visitors to find it usefull.

Hi there,

I would personally get up to date with the graphical side of things before starting to add features to the site. Please, don't take no offence to this although that is what sites in 1998 looked like. If you can't design yourself then I would hire a web designer to do the graphical side (you can find plenty on iWebTool).

Now, for the feature side of things I would first of all add 'all' of iWebTool's excellent web tools. People like them, people use them and people need them. And when I was a webmaster I noticed that they get used frequently by the same people (gaining traffic that returns regularly).

I would also add things such as tutorials on how to do everyday things on the computer and help files for the tools you provide, include troubleshoots etc. So that users can aid themselves the majority if something goes wrong.

For a definite I would add a forum facility so that users of your site can talk together and suggest other things to add to your site. Also this gathers a community and like iWebTool, you don't just get people coming back for the tools, it's the forum as well.

Hope this helped you a little bit, if you need any more help just PM me and I will try my hardest. Good luck with the website and I hope it develops into a mature site very soon.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

I agree that you need something more graphically appealing. But, you also need to add some textual information that describes to the newcomer what your websites purpose is. It is just as important to offer a description of your tools as it is to offer your tools.

Also, you could add some content like kieran said by having a forum and some online troubleshooters and how-to's. Also, you could find or write some articles about how your tool works, how accurate it is, the need for such a tool, other than the obvious reasons. You could include articles on how domains are registered, ICANN's role in domain name registration, and how IP's are mapped.

One note on your logo. The numbers in the logo should represent IP addresses, not just numbers, it would be more fitting. Also, the quality of the image is a bit grainy, maybe you could sharpen the imagae a little more.

Agreed, I think you have applied to much compression on this image, that is the problem with using JPEG's sometimes. I don't know about anyone else although if you want any help on your site I would be happy to do so (free of charge). Obviously nothing too major but if you ever need a little hand, send me a PM.

But I definitely think 'jumpen' had some great points.

**Edit** Sorry forgot to place this in here, although if you want to learn more on image/audio/video compression, look up articles about 'lossy' and 'lossless'. **Edit**

Kieran Taylor.
