Anyone run their own directory?

Yep - I got the same error message -- maybe nobody's home

I'm just starting one myself - barely 3 weeks old (see Sig) - we'll see how it does... c'mon by and submit a RELEVANT site if you want and enter "forum member" in the reciprocal text box to get a free basic listing.

Hi,

I have a bit different philosophy of running my own directory. It is related to travels and photo thus being very "specialized". It is my personal selection of websites in this matters and it's all manual work. I use no ready scripts and such things.

Just started one for link exchanging at http://addurldirectory.themarlboroman.com/ and am still building a couple of others at my main homepage -> http://www.themarlboroman.com main page got indexed in the first week and gets a fair amount of traffic even though it's not finished yet, so I have kinda high hopes for it. Haven't had the cash to get the other one indexed yet but will soon.

I have one, but it is pretty new. I have to wait a months or one year to have an idea of how well is going to be. I'm happy for what I have done so far. It does take time and money to make a directory profitable.
