Hello...

I quickly read some of the posts and you claim the problem is there is no people coming to the forum?
By having contests or something of that sort usually tends to attract people.
just an opinion... Maybe the reason could also be that its the middle of summer in most parts of the world as many are more people are outdoors then inside like in winter?
If i can comment on the most recent post about branding.....
With do respect the only reason i added these tools to my site was the fact they would brand free.
Now if you were to add just a "small" logo with iwebtools somewhere then this would be fine.
Branding means what it means if customers are redirected to iwebtools then why bother. truthfully that was the only reason i added them.

I like the idea of contests, that could work. I don't know about the branding thing, if you mean what i think, then how would that be fair to iwebtool's creator(s)? I think that if you use the tools, don't pay for them, and offer them to your visitors, then why shouldn't iwebtool get at least some public mention, ie, a link or their name somewhere on the tool pages. I could be way off here, cause I'm not exactly sure what branding is, or what tools iwebtool lets you use.

Here's an idea for a startup contest:
30 days to create a website, apply what you know about design, SEM, and SEO, and the best overall would win, say, 200-1000 ipoints, or maybe a free spot for a link, whatever would be fair. Not to mention this would benefit the contestants. I would be up for that challenge, and I would obviously lose, but it would certainly be a noteworthy cause.

This could be like that ambathcdotcom seocontest (or whatever) that's all the buzz, only based on white hatting techniques, and not keyword specific.

Refering to your last post to my thread, Kieran, that with the branding, every tool does need iweb code to function.So, iweb would still get credit for the great tools.The brading free would dramatically increase visitors.I guarantee it.

I have just thought of a good suggestion, why not have a prize for the person who refers 10 active forum members first. And to make sure the person doesn't scam this why not only give the prize once every one of those members referred have posted at least 25 posts.

But take on board that the user would have to make 25 posts for each user (10 X 25 = 250), it is a lot of effort for a forum prize. If I was a scammer I wouldn't bother, it's too much effort for something like that.
