No I haven’t got my nose stuck up anywhere!

Like many of you I’m sure, I’m a member of a number of “webmaster forums” probably for the same reasons too.

1. it has to be said having a signature link to your new website does no harm
2. Putting your website on a critique can be the source of valuable feedback.
3. And obviously you might find a really valuable piece of information.


I like the forum because its simple like me and the complex ones confuse me, I even like the smilies and that is saying something as I’ve been afflicted with smilaphobia for many years.

The points thing seems useful I seem to be accumulating points, I have no idea what they’re used for or why I should bank them but I’ll figure it out eventually.

The tools I use almost on a daily basis and they’re truly useful.

The admin/s are not gits and often on these type of forums they are pretentious know alls who take great pride belittling members who don’t have the same level of expertise.

Just thought I’d say that.

I agree. I was in a forum today asking for advice. One guy had like 7200 posts or so, said, look over your code, there is an error. I nicely replied, I am new to php, and can't spot the errors as quickly as you can. And he just sent the same message again(no wonder he had 7200 posts). Anyhow, my point being, at this forum, that just doesn't happen. Everyone is friendly and helpful if they can be. I'm glad you like it here and are willing to say so. That type of attitude is what forums need more of. Thanks.

Initially (a while back now) there were rumors of the points being used for on-site advertising (I'll look for the thread later).
And until just recently you could buy "Username Upgrades".
My guess is that the admins are "revamping" the store to offer us some cool things to buy. Care to confirm that suspicion admins?
