Default What Is The True Meaning Of Success?

One of the most important career and life-planning activities you can engage in is finding your own definitions or models of success. This is vitally important for a number of reasons: If you haven't done this, how do you know what's best for you? How can you make career decisions if you aren't crystal clear about how you define success? How can you be happy if you don't know when you're successful?
For years, too many people have believed that success is all about the realizations of material things. This has caused many to chase after their dreams in frustration and then give up.
Choose which you think is the best way that defines success:
• Success is a matter of excellence. But the whole subject of excellence has been distorted. Excellence is not knowing how to compete, how to become a champion, how to set goals, how to spend a lifetime striving to reach ever bigger goals.
• The great secret of success is self-discipline. Getting yourself to do what
you really need to do, choosing to do what you feel is right and will bring the
results you want into your life in long term. It is bringing order and efficiency
into your life, creating structure in your life and doing this enthusiastically!
Success comes from taking charge of yourself and feeling proud of yourself
when you do.
• Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
Keys to Success / Ways to Success
There’s a lot way on how to achieve your goal, or how to become successful. But for me here are my own way on how become successful in life.
• Do What You Love.
Many people become successful because they love what they do. They are inspired to continue learning about what they love. Even if there are so many trials before they achieve their goal, they don’t feel hopeless because they love what they’re doing.
• Believe In Yourself.
There are so many stories about unsuccessful persons because they don’t believe in their selves. For simple reasons, they are afraid to express their selves, and not confident that they can do something to become successful. Forget about what other people think, what they think is unimportant. Only what YOU think counts. There is a famous saying that "It's not what you are; it's what you don't become that hurts”. Believe that you have great potential.
• Commitment
I Think, this is the best factor on how to become successful, because how can you achieve your goal, if you’re not committed to what you are doing. You should know your priorities and how to commit with your choices…
Being successful in your own way is really a treasure. So always remember, that the true meaning of success is what our hearts desired and being contented on what we have.

I can only think of success when you do the things you love at anytime you wish. And you are no way worrying about anything else in the world and the world loves you, i mean at least the people you treasure much loves you very much and you have time for them. i think that would be great!

anyway nice post jhona

I beleive he is quoting Paul Siegels ebook "Design Your Future", I'm not sure, though, I haven't read it in awhile.

Nope, it's different... you used CopyScape to find that? Hmm... looks like he took a well-known quote and implemented it in his own:

"Success is a matter of excellence. But the whole subject of excellence has been distorted. Excellence is not knowing how to compete, how to become a champion, how to set goals, how to spend a lifetime striving to reach ever-bigger goals."

Hi there,

Yes it is his/her own, I have seen that exact post in another forum. Well, that is a rather long post and I will read it after a coffee and a cigarette (dirty habit ).

I like to see people post lengthy posts as it shows intelligence and the ability not to waste forum space. Thanks buddy for the reading material!

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.
