Hi, hope this forum will be good for me

Hi there,

just new to this forum. My name is Youri and I live in the United Kingdom where I work hard on getting my website to the top.

However, it is not working very well yet. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me a few good tips regarding my site.

I believe the site looks good but I am not sure how big the market is out there and if it catch you as a visitor.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Hi Youri, welcome. I like your site. The only thing that I could see that may need improving is your english is slightly broken. Maybe you could get someone who is good with written english to help you to structure your sentences better. I know that when I go to a website it's easier for me to understand if it is written in clear english. Now, I don't want you to take that wrong, there are native english speakers who can't articulate in writing even as well as you have.

I like the website, it is nice and simple, and to the point. So often websites try to throw to much information at you all at once, and I just turn around and leave those sites. Yours is clean and easy to find the content.

Do you think there is a market out there for SCUBA diving holidays? How do you really know if you stand a chance out there with your website? It just seems there are so many websites out there nowadays.

I don't know about the market on the internet, but I know that local markets are booming. Every city I've lived in has had it's share of lucritive SCUBA lesson shops. I have known several people that have paid a great deal of money for scuba lessons and then taken SCUBA trips afterwards. So, I think you are in a good market. Perhaps you should try to figure out who your demographic is(probably middle class - early 20's to mid 30's men and women), and then figure out how to reach out to them through marketing. You could possibly advertise on sites that pertain to that demographic(like date.com for instance). There is plenty of information on the internet about internet marketing, I'd go check some of that out.
Also, maybe you could affiliate yourself with some of the SCUBA lesson shops in some of the more major cities, and offer a portal for people to get their certifications. If you do this, once they have become certified, they will hunger to put their skills to use, and that's where you come in.

I do believe there is a good market for this and my site offers something special: diving offers from all over the world, not paid advertising. So yes, it could work.

It would probably be good to have someone helping me out. I think I will look for someone. Thanx a lot.
