Affiliate program is totally different with reseller. GoDaddy/WWD reseller is not an affiliate program. But GoDaddy/WWD handle almost all processes. So it is like an affiliate program. You can set prices, but you can't customize the products. This is the limitation.
It may be true to use affiliate program to understand the online business.

Yes on the reseller programm you do resell the services, but on the affiliate you bring the customer and that's all.
