GoDaddy Made a Big Mistake...

On or around June 10, 2006, GoDaddy of Scottsdale, Arizona allowed the fraudulent transfer of my domain PlanetSRK.com. The domain transfer, as mentioned by GoDaddy, was initiated over the phone without little or poor verification by GoDaddy.

Read more at that link... from what I have heard, GoDaddy's customer support is as good as dirt and chimpanzees.

Oh. Um, this isn't my story... I found it on digg and decided to post it here.

GoDaddy has a LOT of problems - I've NEVER experienced a satisfying time with their support department... if it even exists...

I don't think i've ever contacted their support department. The guy who's lost the domain is trying to hit the press with his story -- Hope he makes it

Yikes, I guess that's the scary thing. I only takes one person not following policy to screw up majorly.

GoDaddy is unprofessional and run by a total egomaniac. We filled half a dozen complaints against them with ICANN. I suggest you do the same.

Sounds to me like the guy was just trying to get people to his website to read his story. I own 633 domains through godaddy and no one can do this with a phone call. They have secret pin numbers and verifications on file. It sounds like the guy screwed up and won't admit it. If it were true, it would be a very easy lawsuit to win. I mean real easy and not expensive either. I just don't buy it.
Revise the above.....
I just found the blog where the guy talks about it. He hadn't even called Godaddy to figure out what was wrong or take it to the next level. It was resolved that day for him.

Oh, today i just visit thier site and checking their domain package. Their package was quite attractive and thinking to register one for try. But now got to hold it first!!

Damn i was thinking of buying a domian from there but now im having 2nd thoughts.
