Default Still usefull?

Is javascript still useful? I having been learning css and it seems everything that javascript does css can do better.. Is this true, or am I just going crazy??

I'm not sure that css would have less limit concerning the operation. Javascript is a functional language so it is not always used to style objects. I usually implement javascripts in order to improve the fanciness factor of my sites. Life would be much boreing without mootools in my opinion.

I think there is still a case for client side scripting, such as Javascript. There are a number of things that can be achieved with CSS, but not everything. How would you validate a form using CSS, nope its back to client side scripting.

CSS is not a replacement or alternative to Javascript. The giveaway is in their names, Cascading STYLE sheets, and JavsSCRIPT, one looks after the styel and appearance, the other is a script or programming language. The 2 can interact with each other Javascript can be used to modify CSS attributes.
