I know this is a problem and the mods can remove spammers, anything else we can do to keep these at bay, or do we just accept this as an ongoing problem?

Anyway what do you qualify as spam? almost each forum is used to advertise on it, otherwise the popularity of the forum which actively bans spammers (advertisers) will be VERY low - so where is the mutual benefit?

Here's a spam example (get there before the mods delete it) http://talk.iwebtool.com/thread22055.html. What has this constructively to offer to anything on this forum? Nothing but a list of URLs for Viagra and other pharmaceticals. The forum title "Introduce Yourself", what introduction is this?

There's a place for advertising on forums, if users want to advertise then do it in the correct place. Spammers are not necesarily advertisers, advertisers can be constructive too.
