Traffic can be generated in a number of ways, here's a few (there are more)

1 Get involved in relevant forums, add a signature link to each of your posts
2 Try to have links from social bookmarks/network sites link back to your site
3 Internet directories, niche and general
4 Don't forget search engines, with your pages correctly optimised of course

Links to your site don't guarantee traffic, but each link is a potential source of traffic.

I would recommend that you firstly take off the iframes on your page and replace them with rss feeds etc. then hop onto the forums and request a couple articles to be made on your site (hopefully in exchange for signiture links or website links etc.) get them and send 1/2 of them to niche article directories. nextly hit up the forums for niche topics and us a sig in them (on your sig link your site to the desired key-phrase and then put some extra text with it) After all this is done your article listings should start taking effect, so go ahead and search for niche blogs/myspace/sports forums/etc. and better your name from there. After having done so on all the above just sit back and let it settle in, from there just post casual listings from time to time and all should be good.

- This is my opinion, hope it helps

1) submit to search engines and directories
2) search and than join websites that are related to your's
3) post ads on free local classified websites
4) hire some professionals, if you don't know much about promotional strategies
