Default SEO Question on key word density

What would be a nice key word density %?

Exsample: key word "lingerie"
Checked out the top 3 sites,
1 count 39 density 12.38%
2 count 14 density 2.2%
3 count 76 density 17.8

Seems like there all over the place so how id Google seeing this?.

Micheal the keyword density is not a real factor in seo in my opinion. In competetive markets you need to get good backlinks and a title tag which contains the targetted expression(s), and a good content which is able to sell your product.

Bagi is right... Keyword Density is not anymore a big factor to consider on optimization... Focus on getting relevant and quality inbound links for your site with your desired keywords as your anchor text. Also, get some quality and unique content that you think people would like to link to...

I think that this parameter depends on the content size. And there are no general rules for that

Through my experiences the volume of the specified keyword "lingerie" doesn't really matter, what does matter though is the versatility of the keyword.

Ofcourse make sure you are using unique content, and once you have your site filled with many key phrases containing the keyword "lingerie" via means of cross links etc. start link building them up.

Just remember when you are getting backlinks to the site that they are all niche related links. "a couple niche related links are 10 times more powerful then a bunch of in-relevant links"

-thanks

Keyword density might not be that important because it is now regarded as an on page optimization technique But certainly, adding too many keywords to pages will be having the bad effect.

Much better if you focus on your content and not on the density of your keyword.
