![]() | Is Google's PR effected by how old the site is? I am just curious if anyone has noticed anything different about how a site is treated strictly because of age, for instance are they placed into a holding period before they are taken serious?

![]() | Definitely not... Domain age affects your SE Rankings... Not your PR... PR relies on quality and related inbound links... |

![]() | Hi guys Domain age is not a factor, if that was the case then you could just buy an old domain and get to the top of the search engines ! This clearly never happens ! Woc |

![]() | No connection between PR and domain age. All is depend on your web service and traffic on website. Backlinks are very much important in effecting PR. |

![]() | PageRank (PR) is calculation of back links, Domain age has nothing to do with PR.

![]() | Domain age has a good amount of significants in your search ranking, but it doesn't effect your PageRank whatsoever. The only thing effecting your PR is your backlinks from other sites (and their PR's). |

![]() | Based on what I've seen with some domains I would say that an old backlink that is giving your domain PR is better than a link from a brand new site that is giving you some PR. Assume the following. Website #1 Ten year old domain Backlink has been in place for seven years PR of page with backlink is PR4 Only twenty other links on page Website #2 One year old domain Backlink has been in place for one year PR of page with backlink is PR4 Only twenty other links on page In this situation Website #1 backlink would give you more of that special magic sauce that Google loves to hand out. No idea how much obvious but from what I've seen with a few of my domains the old links do help. |
