I'm interested to know in what percentage google has indexed your webpage.

I'm using google sitemap, it shows the following

http://xpert.tvbusinesslounge.com - 84% ( # of index page / url submitted * 100 )

that's the highest indexed rate out of 11 websites ... what's ur highest percentage?

Generate sitemap using www.xml-sitemaps.com and upload it using google sitemap.

After few days it will show you how many links has been indexed out of the total links submitted.


it's a nice way to keep bot busy in your site and more pages to be indexed.

I have had close to 100% with no sitemap on a 1-month old site with a total of over 5000 pages (I was surprised)

Meanwhile on a similar site over a year old site with over 4000 pages and sitemaps and lots of backlinks I have gone from 90% down to 70% pages indexed (lately)

Sitemap could potentially help google index a site's pages but they don't always use it ...

All of my pages was indexed by Google. But during my updates only some are indexed while others have the same as usual pages...

One of my sites is an 81% the other is 90%. I am curious though if you could ever reach 100%. I ask this because in the sitemap you list:
wwwdotsomedomaindotcom then you list wwwdotsomedomaindotcom/index.htm
google counts both those as different links in the sitemap.xml even though they go to the same page but i doubt the /index.htm would ever show up as indexed cause google would is smart enough to know they are the same page and would already have the main url as the /index.htm one. Just my two cents worth what do you guys think? Has anyone ever gotten both of those urls to show up when you type site:yourdomain in google search since i assume thats what those stats represent?

Some points can help boosting the percentage figure of the indexed pages such as creating the pages in static HTML format, or having static sitemap.html pages that are accessible from all the web pages.

Chart Music

Less then 10% of total. All the important pages and most of the ones submitted in the site map(around 40,000) are included. Google hoovers around 80-100,000 pages listed. Yahoo slightly less.
