![]() | Hope i selected the right forum, sorry in advance if i hav'nt. I am seeking a autoresponder that will allow me to easily forword a email to subscribers a month before a predetermined date upon which they give details. A bit like a birthday reminder. I have a Great idea and would like to provide this service for prspective subscribers. Can this be achieved with a web hosting package or seperatly. Thanks in advance.

![]() ![]() | I just Googled "free autoresponder service" and you may want to begin reviewing those search results to see what you like. Some give you one autoresponder free, and then charge a fee if you need more than one. For what you described, I believe one is enough. My advice is selecting one that is CAN-SPAM compliant. That's a USA law but most countries have similar requirements for double opt-in to legitimately send email to a subscriber, so that could protect you from being accused of spamming. If you're not familiar with double opt-in, a visitor on your site fills in a subscribe box (opt-in once) and then sees a message to check their email. The email has a link to confirm subscribing (opt-in-twice), so by double opt-in you know it wasn't a prankster filling in other people's addresses. Only the actual person could reply to that email address. I've used a free autoresponder that came with a paid membership site years ago. It's a convenient way to stay in touch with clients. From the search results you should be able to find a free service for your application.

![]() | Thanks for that! Will have to use my head a little more! Do you think that a free service would be as good as a paid one and are these easy to impliment onto a website? I have seen many websites with similar ideas and look really proffesional. I will go do a little reaserch me thinks!!

![]() | If you are comfortable with ads, then a free service would be nice. But prepare to upgrade to a paid service once you have a big list.
