Directory submission is a method to increase PR. Probably the vast majority of directories

Thanks for the great directories list. Directories are very useful to increase page rank. Directory submission will increase the backlinks of your website and as a result your website can get good page rank.

Directory submission must be done for sure. But anyway manually, if you are looking for the results of your work.

Personally they do help, but considering the effort to manually submit its only a minimal payoff. It is a good idea to buy at least a few links to build pr.

Directories have a great impact in terms of SERPs.. But depends if the directories are quality and not penalized by Google...

Directory submission still good way of link building but the hard part these days is to find good ones, Google going after most of them and edit their PR or penalize them.

Yes. Directory submission is a good source to increase your site pr. For free directories, try to visit directorycritic.

Submitting your web site to a seo friendly quality webdirectory would get you the same benefit you get when get linked from high quality and relevant web site. Plus links from web directories are always one way and permanent.

In addition, Directory submissions can get the spiders crawl your site immediately... If you have a new site, it can be easily indexed by the SE's through this Directory submissions...
