What domain extenstion is desirable to have a good google PR in the future?

I am just wondering if domain extension has a direct impact on Google's positions and its future PR?

I belive the domain extension has nothing to do with the PR. It is all about the backlinks, the size of the total Google index and the possible penalties.

Yes, domain extension would have no impact on your google positioning. However, your domain name certainly can.

The domain extension should be relevant to the site. It doesn't have any bearing on PR.

I've never noticed any difference in rankings based on the domain extension, aside from the advantage .co.uk domains have when searching for 'keyword UK'.
